Network Topology

The net above consist of 15 nodes, nodes 0 through 13 are receviers and node 14 is the source. All links are 1.5Mbit/sec, the link latencies are as follows

50 ms (14,12)
40 ms (12,9), (12,10), (12,11)
10 ms (13,12), (9,0), (9,1), (9,2), (10,3), (10,4), (10,5), (11,6), (11,7), (11,8)

For the SRM simulations a single multicast channel was used to which all nodes subscribed.

For the SHARQFEC simulations, hierarchy consisting of five administratively scoped zones arranged in a three level hierarchy was created.

The first and largest zone encompassed all nodes and links.
The second consisted of nodes 0 through 12 and did not include the link between nodes 14 and 12.
The third consisted of the nodes 0,1,2 and 9, and the links that connected them.
The fourth consisted of the nodes 3,4,5 and 10, and the links that connected them.
The fifth consisted of the nodes 6,7,8 and 11, and the links that connected them.
