  I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the Vision and Modeling group at the MIT Media lab. I work on image database retrieval, texture modeling and machine learning. My research advisor is Prof. Aaron Bobick.

Personal

• My home town Kiruna, Sweden
  Kiruna is located in Lappland, 150 kilometers north of the Arctic circle. It is an exotic region of the world, with midnight-sun, northern lights, and thousands of reindeer! Close to my home town is the famous hiking trail Kungsleden, (the Royal trail), which passes by the tallest mountain in Sweden, Kebnekaise.

  Ballroom dancing Let the music sculpt your body! I know of no better way to release your expressive energy than through a dramatic rhumba, or the hot brazilian beats of samba! Then come to peace by sailing across the floor in a slow waltz...
  Squash is another favorite. Fast, strenous, three-dimensional and cunning. I highly enjoyed playing on the MIT junior varsity team.
