Zora is a 3D graphical multi-user environment for children, particularly pre-teens, to explore identity and values through storytelling and programming. Users are graphically represented as an avatar and can navigate around the city. In the same spirit than Calvino's invisible city, Zora is divided up into personal homes, community centers and temples, shared public spaces that represent particular traditions or interests (i.e. the Jewish, the Christian temple, the Sports temple, the Music temple, the Argentinean temple, etc.).
Following the constructionist educational spirit, in Zora users can create their own spaces and can populate the city by creating objects and symbols as well as characters with stories and cherished values. They can program them with storytelling behaviors to engage in conversations with the visitors. At the same time, users can communicate with each other on real-time.
