I am now working on commercial applications, in particular an extended version of the concepts of "Smart VCR" and "evolving content". It explores the transformation of Television as technology, culture and content (not to mention politics) are redefining it to the point where the term as it was once defined may be out of date. |

Prior to joining the Media Lab I was writing articles analyzing the computer industry and the impact of technology in people's lives, trying to understand the future. During my stay at the lab, I produced "It was a Knowledge War" using the engine developed for my thesis ("Viewpoints On Demand"). I have now in mind several other projects using datababase backed technology, "Culture Shock" is one of them. |

Andy Lippman once said that the best proof that the Media Lab is delivering its promises is that graduates leaving the lab should be so unique and ahead of their times that they should encounter difficulties finding a job. Andy has an odd sense of humor. One thing is clear today: many graduates are taking the challenging road of entrepreneurship to create a place for themselves where they know they will fit. |
