Computer graphics, internet and gaming technologies Dr. Sturman has been active in the fields of computer graphics and animation, virtual reality, human-computer interfaces, and Internet applications for over 30 years. He received his Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory and has worked on leading edge technologies at Bell Labs, NYIT, MIT, and Medialab Paris. For several years Dr. Sturman was the VP Technology for MaMaMedia, an award-winning Internet site devoted to interactive web activities for children, and then the Chief Technology Officer for Acclaim Entertainment, a major developer and producer of console video games (now defunct). Dr. Sturman was a founding member and CTO for Massive Incorporated, a start-up acquired by Microsoft Corporation in 2006. Massive created a new medium for advertising by selling and delivering advertising into video games in real-time. Dr. Sturman is currently the CTO for GenArts, Inc., a premier provider of specialized visual effects software for the film, broadcast and video industries.
