This is a adjustable lumbar mechanism concept that i developed for
Johnson Controls. The lumbar seat adjustment is The final mechanism for the 1998 dodge neon was
developed from this concept. It was an extremely efficient low-cost
concept with very few components. The early protoypes we created were very effective and
comfortable. The flexible plastic allows flex of the lumbar support to allow it to give slightly as a persons back rests against the seat.
