This photograph illustrates a flower vessel designed for a course called architecture of objects in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. The focus of the class was to use unconventional materials to construct home furnishings. The vessel is constructed of corian and rubber supplied by DuPont. The form of the vessel was created to suggest a frame for the orchid without imposing upon it visually.
