Michelle A. Shaw

A picture of me

I am the wife of Dr. Alan Shaw and the mother of five wonderful kids, Chinua (born 10/24/92), Yesuto (born 7/11/94), Obasi (born 10/22/96), Ima (born 10/12/2000) and Ife (also born 10/12/2000). I am a full-time mother, and a part-time lawyer and consultant. I graduated from Harvard/Radcliffe Colleges in 1985, and I received my J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1989.

As an attorney, I specialize in the field of residential closings. As a consultant, I assist non-profits in the area of proposal writing, bookkeeping and other miscellaneous tasks. I also provide computer training to young people and adults. My husband and I run a non-profit organization known as Christian Initiatives and Technical Education, Inc. (CITE). In CITE, I have worked with Veronica Carter Mitchell, Chantale Brown, Rocklyn Clarke, Kendra Johnson, Sherell Johnson, Mario Ramos, Ra'Nica Williams and Julie Wurie.

Linking Up Villages (L.U.V.) is a program of CITE. The primary purpose of L.U.V. is to disseminate the M.U.S.I.C. (Multi User Sessions In Community) networking software developed by Dr. Shaw to non-profit organizations and residents of low-income communities.

I live in the Four Corners area of Dorchester, a subsection of Boston, Massachusetts. I am a member of the Bethel AME Church, where Rev. Dr. Raymond Hammond is the pastor. My primary foci are my family, my church, and my neighborhood. I strive, above all else to glorify God the Father, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
